This image is inspired by what the physicists called a “time cone” – a visual explaination/representation of the passage of time. The bottom cone reperesents the past, hence the skinnier version of the man. The top cone is the future, hence the fatter version of the man, since he will get fat in the future. Or it can be conceived as a sand clock, where the future self will pump the fatness into the past self until the past self becomes the future fat self and vice versa. The tiny point that the 2 cones intersect is the almost non-existent present. This is a sketch for a sculpture I will be making in the future.
